I actually fell into this job. Literally, I showed up at State Broadcasting

a week late for a job fair because the mail was a week late. After exiting the car I missed a step walking to the door

and found my self on the ground only my pride was hurt. I decided to laugh at it .

I  went inside and well, the rest is history.I have been laughing ever since. I  I hope you have been

laughing a little since my first day 2 years ago this March.

There is a serious side.I will add more later I just wanted to get my bio started.

The Georgia Part has two awesome parts are split by a lot of years and an incredible life.

Dave Graham

Born, raised, and partially educated right here.  East Laurens County, Brewton, to be exact.  Don't worry if you don't know where it is.  I had a hard time finding my way back.  But HERE is home.  I've been a few places, big towns, almost big time.  It's good to be home. As a matter of fact I started radio right here at one of our sister stations, headed off to get partially educated at that big college in Athens, wandered off to New Orleans and back.  Left here again Atlanta bound.  Like I said, almost made the big time.

Oh yeah, and Macon.  Seems I've worked all my career to get back where I started.  It's good to be home. In my travels I've met a lot of folks.  Stars and legends.  Important, powerful people.  And I found most to be just folks, after all.  But no matter where I went, I missed home folks.  The way they wave at strangers, insist on feeding company, dress up on Sunday morning, and welcome a home boy back.

I'm not new here at Y-96 and State Broadcasting.  You've heard my voice over the years on commercials when I was part of the Sales Staff.  As a matter of fact, when Y-96 first went "country", I became the first country DJ on Y-96. So if I sound familiar, good.  I've loved Country Radio for........a long time.  Oh, and I'm home.

"Shotgun" Charlie Walker   Afternoons 3-7

A true Georgia boy, he was born in Albany and has worked in radio since he was 15 with a pause to serve his country as a soilder in The US Army. A huge supporter of our military and the southland, Charlie has been a mainstay in the Southeast working in radio stations including Albany, Valdosta, Georgia, Florida and Nashville, Tennessee.
